๐ฅ Speaking Japanese:
๐งพ Intro / Reflection
I passed Bronze 5 for Japanese this week, and it felt fairly easy. I made one small mistake with the wrong particle and a minor spelling error, but otherwise flew through the test.
Iโm getting more confident with my Japanese sentences, which has been my biggest challenge since I donโt have anyone to practice with. Conversations with ChatGPT have been super helpful; not perfect, but itโs great for corrections and explanations. I did glance over my notes to check for anything I wasnโt confident about, but most of my time went into conversation practice.
For the next week I’ll be taking my promos test to hopefully get into Silver, I’ll be honest and say that I’m fairly confident in passing, there aren’t any difficult grammatic rules that I’m worried about. The promos will be a three part test over all of bronze 1-5 just to make sure I really understand what is needed to pass.
Bonus: still stacking by making money online with Beermoney to monetize my learning. ๐
๐ธ Earn While You Learn
I like to stack beermoney while I study languages, most of these apps are super low-effort and just give me a nice bonus on top of learning. Itโs not job-replacement money, but it adds up, especially since Iโve become more introverted. ๐

โ Bronze 5 Spanish Test Results
๐งฉ Part 1: Small Talk & Survival Topics
โ Clear and appropriate responses!
- “Andy desu” โ Good intro.
- “Amerika de sundeimasu” โ Correct.
- “Shumi wa piano to gemu shimasu” โ A little unnatural. Better: “shumi wa piano to gemu desu” or “piano wo hikimasu. gemu mo shimasu.”
- “Ku-ji ni okimasu” โ Good!
- “Mainichi, gohan wo tabemasu” โ Natural and correct. โ
๐ฃ๏ธ Part 2: Comprehension & Reaction
- ใKesa wa totemo samukatta neใใ
You said: “Eh, samukatta ka? Chotto atsukatta to omoimasu yo”
โ Excellent! Natural reaction with opinion and gentle disagreement. - ใPasokon wa ima shiyou chu desuใใ
You said: “So ka? Ano, hoka no pasokon ga arimasu ka?”
โ Very polite and clear follow-up request. Nice use of “hoka no.”
๐ง Part 3: Situational Speaking
8. Self-intro:
“Andy desu, chugoku jin desu. amai mono ga suki ja nai kedo umai no mono ga suki desu. mainichi gemu ga shimasu.”
โ
Strong overall. Just one tweak:
“mainichi gemu ga shimasu” โ โ
Should be: “gemu wo shimasu”
Still, very understandable and you used contrast (“~kedo”) and preferences well!
9. Movie plan:
“Kyo tomodatchi to eiga ni ikimasu. Anime no egia wo mimasu. go-pun, eiga kan no soto de tomodatchi ni mateimasu.”
โ
Love this one! Clear time, place, activity. Natural phrasing.
10. Expensive wallet:
“Chotto taki desu. Sumimasen, o-kane wa tarinai desu.”
โ
Nice polite tone. Just spelling:
“taki” โ โ should be “takai”
Still, fully understandable!
