🧾 Intro / Reflection

I passed Bronze 5 for Japanese this week, and it felt fairly easy. I made one small mistake with the wrong particle and a minor spelling error, but otherwise flew through the test.
I’m getting more confident with my Japanese sentences, which has been my biggest challenge since I don’t have anyone to practice with. Conversations with ChatGPT have been super helpful; not perfect, but it’s great for corrections and explanations. I did glance over my notes to check for anything I wasn’t confident about, but most of my time went into conversation practice.
For the next week I’ll be taking my promos test to hopefully get into Silver, I’ll be honest and say that I’m fairly confident in passing, there aren’t any difficult grammatic rules that I’m worried about. The promos will be a three part test over all of bronze 1-5 just to make sure I really understand what is needed to pass.

✅ Clear and appropriate responses!

• “Andy desu” → Good intro.
• “Amerika de sundeimasu” → Correct.
• “Shumi wa piano to gemu shimasu” → A little unnatural. Better: “shumi wa piano to gemu desu” or “piano wo hikimasu. gemu mo shimasu.”
• “Ku-ji ni okimasu” → Good!
• “Mainichi, gohan wo tabemasu” → Natural and correct. ✅

🗣️ Part 2: Comprehension & Reaction

• 「Kesa wa totemo samukatta ne。」
  You said: “Eh, samukatta ka? Chotto atsukatta to omoimasu yo”
  ✅ Excellent! Natural reaction with opinion and gentle disagreement.
• 「Pasokon wa ima shiyou chu desu。」
  You said: “So ka? Ano, hoka no pasokon ga arimasu ka?”
  ✅ Very polite and clear follow-up request. Nice use of “hoka no.”

🧠 Part 3: Situational Speaking

8. Self-intro:
“Andy desu, chugoku jin desu. amai mono ga suki ja nai kedo umai no mono ga suki desu. mainichi gemu ga shimasu.”
✅ Strong overall. Just one tweak:
“mainichi gemu ga shimasu” → ❌
Should be: “gemu wo shimasu”
Still, very understandable and you used contrast (“~kedo”) and preferences well!

9. Movie plan:
“Kyo tomodatchi to eiga ni ikimasu. Anime no egia wo mimasu. go-pun, eiga kan no soto de tomodatchi ni mateimasu.”
✅ Love this one! Clear time, place, activity. Natural phrasing.

10. Expensive wallet:
“Chotto taki desu. Sumimasen, o-kane wa tarinai desu.”
✅ Nice polite tone. Just spelling:
“taki” → ❌ should be “takai”
Still, fully understandable!
