What is Walk Task?

Walk Task is a get-paid-to-walk app that rewards you with coins for walking, watching ads, and completing simple tasks. Like most walking apps, the main earning driver isn’t just steps, it’s a combination of steps + ads. That said, compared to many walking apps I’ve tested, Walk Task performs better than average.

What I like most is that it gives you a small incentive to stay active while letting you earn semi-passively. Most earning methods are low-effort and can be done while watching TV, doing chores, or multitasking, no heavy focus required like surveys or long game offers (though those are available too).

Coin Conversion Rate

  • 6 coins = $0.01
  • 600 coins = $1.00

This is a fairly reasonable conversion rate compared to other walking apps, which often hide poor rates behind inflated coin numbers.

How to Earn Coins in Walk Task

⚠️ For many features, the app does not clearly state maximum earnings. I’ve listed what I personally earned on average.

Daily Check-In

You can access this from the top-right balance area or the Task tab.

  • Day 1–6: usually 1 coin per day
  • Day 7: up to 100 coins (I personally never earned more than 2 coins total)

Walking (Steps)

Your steps count toward two earning systems:

Presents

  • Earn a present every 100 steps
  • Each present gives one coin
  • Every 10 presents forces an ad

Lucky Boxes

  • Earned every 2,000 steps
  • Can reward up to 100 coins
  • I usually get 4–5 coins per box
  • Each box requires watching an ad

Step Source & Permissions

  • Uses Google Fit (Android) / Apple Health (iOS) (not required)
  • Requires activity & motion permissions
  • App must be allowed to run in the background
  • Battery optimization can reduce step tracking accuracy

Extra Coin Cards

When you have no presents available, tap the present icon under your step counter:

  • 4 cards per page (2 pages total)
  • First card is free
  • Remaining cards require watching ads
  • Typical reward: 3–5 coins

Coin Videos

  • Up to 10 videos per day
  • 2-minute cooldown between each video
  • Earn 4–5 coins per video

💡 Tip: While waiting for cooldowns, I rotate through other ad-based features like Extra Coin Cards, Golden Eggs, and Lucky Spin.

Tasks

Tasks offer extra coins for simple actions:

  • Telegram daily check-in: I haven’t completed this. It opens in a browser, but I couldn’t find where the coins actually apply in-app.
  • Newbie Tasks: Available for new users. I’m unsure whether these get replaced with weekly tasks or disappear once completed.

Since I haven’t completed surveys or game offers yet, my account still shows Newbie Tasks. So I’m not sure if these will be replaced with weekly tasks for extra coin earnings.

Golden Egg

  • 1 free egg daily
  • Up to 10 eggs per day
  • 9 eggs require watching ads
  • Typical reward: 1–10 coins

I personally prefer stacking all 10 eggs before smashing them.

Lucky Spin

  • 1 free spin daily
  • Up to 10 spins per day
  • 9 spins require watching ads

Unlike many RNG-based apps, Walk Task doesn’t feel heavily throttled. I’ve personally won 50 coins once. The rete seems the same as it was in the first week into the first month, which these apps usually start to throttle earnings here after two to three weeks.

Other In-App Games

These games require coins to play:

  • Scratch Card
  • Fruit Spin
  • Car
  • 3Ball

I haven’t tested these yet, so I’ll update this section if I do.

Offer Walls

Available offer walls include:

  • Playtime Rewards
  • Torox
  • PubScale
  • AyeT Offers

My experience:

  • Torox pays above average
  • AyeT Offers pays slightly less than Torox
  • PubScale is the lowest paying

I personally avoid Playtime Rewards now since they require active gameplay. Multi-level game offers usually pay 10–100x more for the same game offers.

Surveys

Survey partners:

  • BitLabs
  • CPX Research
  • TheoremReach

Survey pay looks fair to good, except TheoremReach, which is lower. I haven’t personally completed surveys yet, so I can’t confirm disqualification rates or bonuses.

Cashout Options

  • Cashout time: instant to up to 3 days
  • Minimum cashout: $5 for most options (some $1 or $10)

Available rewards:

  • PayPal
  • Amazon
  • Walmart
  • Apple
  • Google Pay
  • +8 additional gift card options

Availability

  • Android & iOS
  • Available in most countries (some exclusions may apply)

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Multiple earning methods
  • Surveys & game offers included
  • PayPal cashout available
  • Fast payouts
  • Better earnings than most walking apps
  • Low-effort, passive-friendly

Cons

  • Heavy ad usage
  • Some offer walls have low pay
  • RNG features can vary
  • Some low paying offer walls
  • Some low paying survey partners

Final Thoughts

Walk Task is one of the better walking apps I’ve tested. It doesn’t feel like earnings are aggressively throttled, especially for RNG-based features like Lucky Spin. While most earnings are locked behind ads, the effort required is minimal, making it a solid semipassive beermoney app, especially if you don’t mind multi-tasking.

On top of walking rewards, it also includes surveys and offer walls with a more reasonable conversion rate than many competitors. If you’re looking for a walking app that actually pays decently compared to others, Walk Task is one I’d recommend.

Is Walk Task legit or a scam in 2025?

Walk Task is legit.
I’ve personally cashed out, and you can see my payment proof screenshot above.

How does Walk Task work and how do you earn money by walking?

Walk Task is primarily a step-tracking app, but it also includes multiple earning methods:

  • Watching ads
  • Playing games
  • Completing surveys
  • Offerwalls

For walking:

  • 100 steps = 1 coin

You earn coins, which can be redeemed for cash or gift cards.

How much can you realistically earn per day or month with Walk Task?

Earnings depend on:

  • Your daily step count
  • Additional offers you complete

From my experience (focused mostly on steps + ad rewards):

  • Around $0.60–$0.90 per day with ~5,000 steps

You can increase earnings by doing:

  • Surveys (recommended)
  • Game offers
  • Offerwalls

Does Walk Task actually pay real money or just rewards?

Yes, Walk Task pays real money.

You earn coins, which can be redeemed for:

  • PayPal cash
  • Gift cards

Why are my steps not counting on Walk Task?

Common reasons include:

  • Missing required permissions (sometimes multiple)
  • Airplane mode enabled or no data
  • Not walking enough (minimum consecutive required to start tracking)

📌 Note: You may need to walk at least ~10 steps before it starts counting to prevent fake activity.

If none of these fix the issue, contact support.

What is the minimum payout on Walk Task and how fast is withdrawal?

  • Minimum payout: Usually $5 (some options as low as $1)
  • PayPal payouts: Typically instant
  • Other methods: Up to 1–3 days

Does Walk Task drain battery or run in the background?

Yes, it runs in the background to track steps.

Battery usage is generally low to moderate, but if you want to stop it:

  • Hold the app icon
  • Tap “app info” to go to app settings
  • Tap “Force Stop”

You can reopen the app anytime to resume tracking.

Can you use Walk Task with a smartwatch or fitness tracker?

Yes, you can sync it with your fitness tracker or smartwatch, as long as it connects through your phone’s health app.

An internet connection may be required for accurate syncing and tracking.

Does Walk Task work worldwide or only in certain countries?

Walk Task is said to be available worldwide, though availability may vary slightly depending on your region.
