Lifetime earnings

No easy way to show lifetime earnings, so I’m showing the payouts for lifetime earnings.

🧠 What Is UserCrowd?

UserCrowd is a beermoney site that pays you to test and review websites or apps. Each task (called a “test”) asks for your quick opinion or feedback on a specific feature, design, or question.
Most tasks take less than a minute and pay around $0.20 (doing one of these tests is like making $12/hr), sometimes more for longer or qualified tasks.

I’ve been using UserCrowd for a couple years and have earned a bit over $254 lifetime. It’s not much, but for the minimal effort required, the time-to-earn ratio is pretty solid.

That said, the main drawback is the infrequency of tests and how fast these tests can expire once they’re offered.

💻 How to Earn

There’s only one way to earn on UserCrowd; testing or reviewing websites and apps.

Here’s how it works:

  • You’ll receive an email when a new test is available.
  • Tests usually take under a minute and pay $0.20–$0.50+.
  • Most consist of 1–3 questions (multiple choice, scale rating, or short written responses).
  • Occasionally, you’ll get a very short qualification survey for longer tests that pay more, to determine whether you qualify for the test, even if you don’t qualify, you’ll still earn $0.20 for trying.

⚠️ Tip: Don’t rush your answers.
If a question asks for a written response, write 1–2 thoughtful sentences explaining what you liked, disliked, or noticed. Rushed or one-word answers can lower your account rating and reduce future test invites.

📈 Increasing Your Earnings

While there’s only one earning method, here’s how to get more frequent and higher-paying tests:

  1. Maintain a High Rating
    • Low-effort or rushed answers can lower your rating.
    • Improving response quality over time can raise it again.
  2. Link Your LinkedIn Account
    • Optional, but may increase your credibility and test frequency.
I personally can’t confirm since I haven’t, but they say it does, so it probably does.
  3. Keep Demographics Updated
    • Helps you match more test criteria.
  4. Live Website Testing (New)
    • A newer feature, but I haven’t personally received one yet, I’ll update when I do.

⚠️ Downsides

  • Infrequent Tests: You might go weeks without a new one.
  • Short Acceptance Window: Tests are first come first serve, so there’s limited space. Most longer tests tend to have more space.
  • Mobile or Desktop-Only Tests: Some tests only work on one platform.
💡 Tip: On your phone, switch between desktop and mobile mode in your browser to access both.
Google how if you don’t already know, there’s not really a way to do mobile browsers on desktop.
  • Strict Rating System: If your answers are too short or low-quality, your rating and number of test invites can drop.

💳 Cashout Options

  • Payment method: PayPal only
  • Minimum payout: $10
  • Cashout time: Can take up to 30 days (needs to be reviewed and approved as well)

Payment proof

✅ Pros / ❌ Cons

Pros:

  • Quick, simple tests
  • Fair pay for time spent
  • Paid to PayPal
  • International availability
  • Occasional bonuses for qualification attempts

Cons:

  • Very infrequent tests
  • Short time windows to accept offers after receiving them
  • Platform-specific tests (mobile vs. desktop)
  • Strict rating system can limit test invites or get you banned if it drops too low
  • Only one earning method

🏁 Final Thoughts

UserCrowd is worth trying if you want a low-effort side option for quick bursts of cash.
You won’t get rich here, but the short, easy tasks make it a nice background earner when tests appear.

It can be frustrating when you go weeks without an invite or miss a test due to limited space, but when they do show up, they’re fast, simple, and fairly paid.

🌍 Availability

Available internationally, but English-speaking countries tend to receive more frequent tests, especially the US.

FAQ

Is UserCrowd legit or a scam?

Yes! UserCrowd is 100% legit. I’ve been using it for years and have been paid every time I requested a cashout. I’ve personally earned over $254+ lifetime from UserCrowd.

How much can you make on UserCrowd per day or month?

Honestly, not a ton, but it’s still worth doing if you like quick, simple tasks.
How much you earn depends on:

  • Your demographics
  • Your location
  • Your rating on the platform

Tests are pretty infrequent, and you might go days or weeks without one. When they do pop up, they usually pay at least $0.20 and take under a minute to complete, which is a fair rate for the time spent.

How does UserCrowd work and what kind of tests do you do?

UserCrowd pays you to review websites and apps through quick tests.
Each test usually includes:

  • 1–3 multiple-choice questions
  • A rating scale (1–10)
  • Short written responses

Sometimes, you’ll get longer tests with more questions or a brief screening to see if you qualify. Even if you don’t qualify, you usually still get $0.20 for your time.

Why am I not getting any tests on UserCrowd?

Common reasons include:

  • Fewer available tests in your country or region
  • A lower rating from past responses
  • Your demographic profile doesn’t match the client’s target group

It’s normal to go weeks without tests, UserCrowd doesn’t always have consistent availability.

How long does it take to get paid on UserCrowd?

After you request a payout, it can take up to 30 days for them to review and process your cashout. Payments go to PayPal once approved.

What is the minimum payout on UserCrowd?

The minimum payout is $10 via PayPal. You can request payment as soon as your balance reaches that amount.

Can you use UserCrowd on mobile or only desktop?

You can use both mobile and desktop.
However, some tests will specify “mobile only” or “desktop only.”

  • If you’re on mobile and get a desktop test, you can switch your browser to desktop mode.
  • On desktop, there’s no real way to emulate mobile tests unless you use an emulator.

(Quick tip: You can Google “how to switch to desktop mode on [your device]” for easy instructions.)

Do you need experience or qualifications to join UserCrowd?

Not really, anyone can join. However, linking your LinkedIn account may increase your chances of getting more tests.
Some tests target specific demographics or professional experience, so having your LinkedIn connected can help match you to those. Which in turn gives you more tests.

Why did my UserCrowd rating go down?

Usually, for one of two reasons:

  1. You rushed through a test too quickly.
  2. Your written answers lacked detail or effort.

You don’t need long essay, just two or three thoughtful sentences per question are enough. Ratings can go up again as you improve your responses.

How do UserCrowd ratings work, and do they affect how many tests you get?

Yes, your rating directly affects your test frequency.
Higher ratings = more invites and better test opportunities.
Ratings are based on the quality and completeness of your answers.

Can I retake or fix a bad test rating on UserCrowd?

You can’t retake tests, but you can improve your future ratings by:

  • Writing more thoughtful, complete answers
  • Taking your time instead of rushing
Over time, your average rating will increase as you consistently give better responses.

How often does UserCrowd send out new tests?

It varies. Some users get several tests a week, while others go weeks or even a month without seeing any. Your frequency depends on your rating, country, and demographics.

Why did UserCrowd reject my answers or lower my score?

Likely because your written responses were too short or lacked detail or effort.
Try writing at least two to three thoughtful sentences next time. They don’t need to be lon, just make sure they show effort and real feedback.

Does UserCrowd pay instantly after completing a test?

Yes and no, after completing each test, your earnings appear instantly in your account balance.
However, your cashout request (PayPal payout) still has to go through approval, which can take several days to weeks.
