Spanish Week 1 — Passed Bronze 1! Introductions, days of the week, 1-10 💸 “Learning While Earning”

🎥 Speaking Spanish: Bronze 1

🧾 Intro / Reflection
I’ve been learning Spanish on and off for about a year and a half. I decided to reset and start fresh using my ranking system so I can see and show real progress over time. Bronze 1 went by fast, but that’s expected, I’ve touched this content before.

While I’m learning, I like to stack beer money apps to earn a bit in the background. It keeps things productive and fun. 👇

💸 Earn While You Learn
I like to stack beermoney while I study languages, most of these apps are super low-effort and just give me a nice bonus on top of learning. It’s not job-replacement money, but it adds up, especially since I’ve become more introverted. 👇

Bronze 1 Spanish Test Results

1. Greeting

  • You wrote: hola, como esta?
  • Intent is correct, but a small grammar note:
    • “¿Cómo está?” is formal (used with “usted”).
    • If you’re speaking casually with a peer, it should be: ¿Cómo estás?

2. Introduce Yourself

  • You wrote: mi llamo andy, soy de los estados unidos
  • ❌ Minor grammar fix:
    • Should be me llamo Andy (not mi llamo)
    • Soy de los Estados Unidos is correct.

Corrected: Me llamo Andy. Soy de los Estados Unidos.

3. Simple Q&A

  • “¿Tú eres España?”
    • Should be: ¿Eres de España? (“Are you from Spain?”)
  • “No” – ✅
  • “¿Él es de México?” – ✅
  • “Sí” – ✅

4. Politeness

  • sí, no, por favor, gracias — Perfect!

5. Numbers 1–10

  • ✅ All spelled correctly: uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis, siete, ocho, nueve, diez

6. Days of the Week

  • Minor typo:
    • mericoles → should be miércoles
    • sabado → should be sábado
  • Overall understanding is clear though.

7. Basic Sentence Structure

  • Yo como manzanas – ✅ Excellent S-V-O sentence!
  • Soy chino – ✅ Perfect!
  • Estoy estudiante – ❌
    • Should be: Soy estudiante (use ser, not estar, for professions or roles)
