WalkWork is a beermoney app that pays you to walk — at least, that’s the idea. I’ve used it for several months now, and here’s the honest truth:
It’s not good.
It’s barely mid-tier.
And the earnings collapse after your first week.
The concept is appealing “get paid just for walking around”, but the actual execution? Pretty disappointing. Almost all earnings require ads, and the payouts are extremely low across every feature: walking, surveys, games, and bonuses.
The app feels like a copy of other walking apps (the UI is almost identical), just with significantly worse earnings and heavier ad pressure.
It looks scammy at times, but it is legit, you will get paid. Just not much.
🤑 How WalkWork Actually Pays You
WalkWork gives you a few ways to earn, but none of them pay well. Here’s the full breakdown:
👣 1. Step-Based Earnings
WalkWork splits walking income into two separate systems:
A. Step Rewards (10,000 step cap)
- Every 100 steps = a chest = 1 Energy
- After 8–15 chests, you’re forced to watch an ad
- Steps update in 2–5 second chunks, not instantly
- Battery optimization or Adaptive Battery can break step tracking
- GPS also requires a minimum movement distance (~10+ feet)
So fake step spam with a machine or repetitive movements won’t work, they flag that as fraud. Honestly you won’t have to worry about this much since there aren’t many ways to automate steps spanning 10 feet or so for it to actually count your steps.
B. Daily Walking Rewards (6 per day)
- Every 1,000 steps = 1 Energy
- You get 1 free daily present, the rest force ads
- Maximum: 5,000 counted steps/day for this feature
🎡 2. Spin & Win
This is a wheel with the following slots:
- 4 slots of 1 Energy
- 1 slot of 10 Energy
- 1 slot of 20 Energy
- 1 slot of 50 Energy
- 1 slot of 100 Energy
You can earn:
- 12 Energy per day from wheel spins, minimum
- 3 Energy from chest rewards (1 energy per chest) , earned from every 4 spins
- Ads play every 4 spins, plus ads for chests
My experience:
In 4–5 months, I have never once hit anything except 1 Energy.
Either the odds are insanely low to impossible, or I’m insanely unlucky.

These are standard multi-level game offers, each game has a set amount of tasks, each task pays a certain amount upon completion, but:
- The payouts on WalkWork are some of the lowest I’ve ever seen
- TapJoy frequently has tracking issues
- The conversion rate (Energy → money) makes these even worse
- Without extra phones for “new user” offers, game grinding is pointless, honestly there’s a handful of different beermoney apps that offer games to earn from over this, if you had extra phones.
I strongly recommend avoiding WalkWork’s game offers.

- Surveys pay extremely low
- No survey duration estimates
- BitLabs opens the same page no matter what survey you tap
- CPX takes you straight into the survey without showing length or reward/time ratio
- The selection is tiny compared to apps that specialize in surveys, on top of extremely low pay
Good rule of thumb is to have many survey apps, just to increase your chances of getting good surveys, but this is not a good survey app to add to your rotation.
💵 5. Lucky Spin (Cash Wheel)
This is a separate wheel that pays actual money, not Energy.
Slots include:

And here’s the catch:

This is the same bait mechanic scam apps use, except WalkWork is legit, just using the same psychological trick.

Do I Recommend WalkWork?
Honestly?
No.
WalkWork feels like an ad machine that occasionally tosses you pennies. While other walking apps do the same and the app does offer multiple earning options, the payouts are so low that many other beermoney apps will earn you 10× more in the same amount of time it’d take you to reach cashout here. Of course I would have reached my cashout sooner if I’d done games and surveys, but this isn’t an app I’d recommend over any other app that offers the same, but pays more.
If you’re just curious or want every possible app, sure, you can add it. But if your time matters at all, put your effort into better options. With the amount of beermoney apps that offer surveys and games you probably won’t have enough extra phones to farm and have this on your list.
WalkWork is legit, but not worth your time.
